The North Carolina General Assembly has established disposal bans on the following materials under
North Carolina General Statute 130A-309.10. The following items must be disposed of separately and not mixed in with
household cleanouts, construction materials, or yard debris.
USED MOTOR OIL, OIL FILTERS, ALL APLIANCES, ANTIFREEZE, ALUMINUM CANS, SCRAP TIRES, LEAD-ACID BATTERIES, COMPUTER EQUIPMENT, and TELEVISIONS.
CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS CLEANUPS ARE NOT ALLOWED FLUORESCENT LIGHT BULBS OR MERCURY-CONTAINING THERMOSTASTS.
We can dispose of these items for you with an additional cost. You may be fined for not following these guidelines.
